From Cradle to Cradle: Trees Given New Life to Respect the Environment

In June 2024, after having to cut down four pines and two enormous fir trees that were too close to the trulli, we immediately began thinking about how we could recover them and give these magnificent presences a new soul.
With great care, the trunks were sawn into planks together with a lifelong friend, almost entirely by hand and on site, breathing in the scents and sensations of these specimens of nature. Placed under our portico, we kept them safe for two years — the time needed for the idea to mature that they could be reborn within the interiors of our accommodations.

Giving Trees a Lasting, Sustainable Purpose

Wood had always been present in the trulli, and we envisioned it bringing to life doors, wardrobes, and kitchens that carry the scent of “good” wood. A material that is born (from the cradle), recovered and used in a natural way, will tomorrow be recycled again, until it returns once more to life because it has remained natural (to the cradle), in a sustainable cycle where everyone enjoys — and has enjoyed — its beauty.
